Sree N.Vijayaraghavan, the founder  of  Satyananda Yoga Research Centre, a native of Kozhikode district in Kerala began deep study on yoga after obtaining commerce degree from Calicut  university.

He has completed a number of courses on  Yoga.  Yoga   Teachers Training and Kriya Yoga Course from Bihar  School of Yoga, Yoga Certificate course from National Institute of Sports in Patyala, Yoga Therapist Course from Vivekananda Yoga Research Foundation in Bangalore, Pranic Healing Course from India chapter of World Pranic Healing Foundation , Neuro Linguistic Programme  etc.. are some them.  He has also attained Master Degree in Reiki Treatment and Doctor of Philosophy  (Yoga) from Medicina Alternative Institute in Colombo.

Seeing the importance of Yoga in the tensed world today he initiated General Yoga Classes and Yoga Therapy  in India and abroad from 1983 onwards.  This deputation is wonderfully performed by Satyananda Yoga Research Centre under his leadership.  Yoga has got an eminent position in the field of treatment of certain diseases.  He has conducted several separate yoga therapy comps exclusively for  Bronchial Asthma, Diabetes Mellilies, Lower Back Pain,  I.H.D, Vision problems etc.. He has presented a scientific paper on bronchial asthma at 5th International Holistic Congress. Sree Vijayaraghavan has been accorded the highest honour by being selected as certified judge for  All India Yogasana Championship.  He has also participated in  four international yoga conferences.

He is an expert in the treatment of acupressure and  hypnotherapy.  On the basis of  his valuable contributions  to yoga ,  he has been awarded by various institutions . ' Mangalath Prabhavathi Award   (1999), by Navajeevan Holistic Alternative Medical Research Institute , Meritorious Service Award (2001) by Lions Club, Pithruka Ratna Award (2006) by National Institute of Scientific Heritage are prominent among them.  Free training and consultation have been given by Sree Vijayarahavan for the past 25 years.
